E-commerce Online Writing Sites

On this page you will find genuine e commerce sites, where you can make money, simply from writing, what you know about and like.

In a fast changing world such as the computer industry.

Business's rise and fall. This is a fact.

Once mighty companies crash out of existence or morph into something else.

Remember Netscape, Mosaic, Alta Vista ? No! These were giants in the late 80's early 90's.

New ways of doing things have come along, that were never thought of before.

The internet and the world wide web, is still only a baby in terms of maturity.

No-one knows where it will end up.

The growth of the web has been astonishing. What is missing is content.

Getting Social

As more and more people join the web community, they are looking for things that will interest, inform and entertain them.

You would imagine that everything is on the web already. You would be very wrong!

There is a lot of 'stuff' on the web, but the vast bulk of it is trash, that you couldn't show to your grandmother?

If we want the web to be more social, then it needs cleaning or replacing with better content than exists now.

Future Employment Trends

Why Am I Writing This?

Why is an Information & Communications Technology (ICT) teacher writing about making money, from writing online?

Because this is where many more future jobs are going to be.

They exist already for some and have done for many years. Bloggers! But the web is changing fast and blogging just isn't enough anymore.

Quality detailed information is what is demanded now. Not just someone's opinion.

The internet has created a level playing field.

This E-commerce Is Fun

You Have The Same Chances For Success As Any Big Business

The Evolution Of ICT

When I began teaching ICT back in the stone age it was called computer science and there was no internet to speak of.

One thing you can be certain of in the ICT field is, that everything changes almost constantly.

I was around before E commerce as a term, had not been invented.

The curious thing is, here in 2012 Britain.

The Education Minister has just announced that he wants to 'go back' to computer science in schools.

This guy is so ill informed it beggars belief?

Onwards Into The Digital Abyss

In the intervening years I have taught 1000's of children and 100's of teachers how to implement computer work into their lessons.
I was teaching word processing before MICROSOFT WORD was developed.

Yes there were other word processors before MS WORD!

Not to mention the many other types of applications software

Databases, Spreadsheets and Painting programs that have fallen by the wayside over the years.

My first piece of advice on e commerce is this.

It's a business like any other so.

Stop thinking about making money, and more about, what 'you have' to offer to the internet.

Your experience and knowledge is unique!

The internet community is looking for interesting things, so what have you got to offer.

E commerce works like any business.

Solve someones problems for them. Make them laugh or cry or just entertain and inform them, but do something that adds value, to their experience and you are on the road to e commerce.

E commerce Futures

So to answer the question '"Why is an Information & Communications Technology (ICT) teacher writing about making money online from writing"? I thought I had better show the kids how it's done before all the schools vanish.

Most kids in developed countries, and even in undeveloped countries, spend a large part of their lives online so where are the jobs for them?

Other than call centres what are the options? See Below

School And Your Futures

Is the internet the savior of your/their future finance's? You decide.

This article is one in a series, to see others in the series click here.

This is part one, in a set of lessons, to introduce the topic, of online writing and e commerce to students.

Hope you like them.

MICROSOFT

MICROSOFT WINDOWS is on 95% of all P.C.'s in the world.

So that is the software package you should be using.

There are other software platforms out there like the Open Source Community.

In all the years I have been teaching the Open Source system has not caught on with the general public.

Neither has Apple's offering in any significantly large numbers to rival Microsoft.

Even with the advent of the iPad and iPhone. Apple still has a tiny market share in comparison.

So what software are you or your child using?

Like anything you buy from groceries to make-up. You want the best of course!

Go with something you know and trust. The 95% of the computer users on planet Earth cannot be wrong.

They use MICROSOFT PRODUCTS!

Online Work Options On CBS News.

Online Work E commerce Really Does Exist.

The sites below are all paid for content sites.

elance.com

chacha.com

vipdesk.com

hubpages.com

Squidoo.com

The above sites, are just a small sample, of the kinds of e commerce online work, that is currently available online.

Some pay a flat fee for an article, where others such as squidoo and hubpages, share the advertising revenue with the authors.

These are known as revenue sharing sites. You can see the advertisements that are used, if you look around this page.

However many of these online firms, do not last; or always stick around for to long.

My Advice

Check carefully that the site's are legal, and not scammers. Read reviews and ask around if you are unsure.

Also check the blogs for comments about the writing site you are interested in.

Don't put all your effort into one company, spread your work around several site's. This spreads your risk of loss if one of them folds up. Which they do...often!

I know this goes against everything you have been told, about putting your maximum effort into one task or in this case, one writing site, but the world has changed and so must we,

The modern worker must be highly skilled, almost infinitely adaptable and able to work to tight deadlines.

If you would like to join me in my e-commerce quest, as I work on these real e commerce jobs online. You can click here and learn about webanswers which seems, to be the simplest e commerce site that I have found. You can make money quite easily on this site.

Thanks for dropping in. Good luck and happy hunting. Don't forget to vote below.

Thanks for reading.

E commerce really does exist, but can you live by just writing. Many people already do here on hubpages alone.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates has been and is an Iconic figure in computing for many years.

What did Bill Gates do?

Apart from anything else, he gave me a solid living for the last, almost 30 years and continues to keep me gainfully employed.

Like many new companies he started small. Really, really, really small. In his garage!

One of my favorite and timeless Bill Gates Quotes is:-

We are not even close to finishing the basic dream of what the PC can be.

Hi davenstan,

Thanks for dropping in, you must have almost the full set bookmarked by now lol.

The ideas do work too, and really well. If you use them!

It can get a little hectic here, on the outer rim of the hubs, so make sure you implement the ideas and get that traffic flowing to you.

Hello punamdharkar,

You are most welcome. I am happy that you found this hub useful.

We all want to save time and have our writing, read and appreciated.

That is a great reward in itself.

When we consider writing online to make money, then we

want to be rewarded for our efforts too.

The more efficient we can be, then the better for all of us. Teamwork works when we work as a team.

This online writing is still a new medium and is still finding it's way.

The more eyes we have looking and working together, the quicker we make real money online from writing. We need to support each other and press those like buttons too.

Some people write for fun and that's fine too. There is nothing wrong with making money from our writing efforts.

Good luck and welcome to this brave new world.

Hiya klanguedoc and thanks for the adoration, it's always nice to know ones adored:)

I'll have a look at PhoneGap today and your right Java is the way to go.

Saves having to write for each platform.

They all support Java so one program fits all.

You are also correct to "go it alone" and retain the copyright.

Adobe thumbs up on that one and did you hear that Google bought out Motorola a few weeks ago?

Android is now set up to kick the iPhone to the kerb.

Motorola owns some brilliant tech that now belongs to Google and you know what that means.

I'll let you know how the PhoneGap thing goes. Thanks for the visit.

Hi again Ubani,

The internet is a fickle thing. It grows every day and new things come and go. But quality remains.

So the same as you I only work on quality sites like hubpages and a couple of others.

Your comments as always are very welcome.

Hi molometer. I didn't know I was standing in the presence of greatness. As for SDK, PhoneGap looks really promising. they did a good job of interfacing with each native os through Javascript. I expect they will continue to add traction now that Adobe have acquired them.

Hi klanguedoc. Interesting that you have decided to develop you own apps as I have come to the same decision.

It is such an interesting area and reminds me of the early day of PC's when it was all up to individuals to create the apps that we know today.

I created word processors and spreadsheets and a quiet famous database for the UK Labour party (for free) before Mr Gates... but he had a better business model (licensing lol)

I am trying to find the best app SDK but they all seem a bit lame. Maybe I should create one?

Thanks for dropping by again I'm sure we will have much to discuss.

Hi molometer, I haven't done any projects since last summer. I have been busy developing my own apps for smart phones and tablets. Actually I have two nearly complete. Beside that I have been writing a lot and started work on my first e-book about mobile app development with Adobe Air. HubPages is a great community. I forward to reading more of your hubs.

Hi klanguedoc great that you dropped by.

Your not going to believe it but I was just on the elance site before I checked back here.

Are you still working with elance as they seem to have a lot of work available? Thanks for coming over and hope to see more of your work.

What I have seen so far is brilliant. Well done for getting it out there.

Hi Brett, I have just gone through the sign up process (50 answers)which was not so difficult and I remember reading your work on the subject which is pitched just right.

I am writing a hub on the technicalities of linking adsense to webanswers as that is a little obscure from their site and really needs a walk-through.

chacha is growing very fast in the UK and the next step for them will obviously be Europe where most people can speak English and so no language problems to speak of. I'm on chacha already.

It's interesting to say the least.

Thanks for your input and advising people to use my link to webanswers. PS My daughter is back from her hols and I dare say she will asking you about tesol. Thanks for the visit and vote up.

Hi Molometer,

Will take a look at the suggested sites, as I hadn't heard of VIPDesk or ChaCha. Voted up and useful.

Webanswers is definitely a site that is working and growing rapidly. It takes time to start earning (about 100-200 answers), but you have also have a chance to earn very well there (dedicated users are in the $100-800pm range).

If anyone wants tips, I have written a guide on how to earn more at Webanswers. However, please use Molometer's link to join ... after all, he introduced you, it doesn't cost you a thing to use his link and he deserves the credit.

Hi Martie, I think the Groot Trek is happening right now but it's not being recognised for what it is.

Here in the UK "everyone knows" you never buy from a real shop or store as you will always get it cheaper online... And this is true.!

People may go to a shop to pick up and look at the item but will usually go home and order online and await delivery.

I know it seems odd but it is a reality for many people already as online shopping can and is considerable cheaper.

The internet is insatiable and good quality answers and content is in demand. Thats why sites like chacha.com are successful. There are a lot of consumers out there and very few producers? Thanks for your comments fellow pioneer.
